In the early morning hours of August 25, 2024, a 911 call shattered the quiet of a Sioux City, Iowa home. Edmund Pendleton, 38, reported that his girlfriend, 46-year-old Danielle Dolan, had shot herself. First responders rushed to the residence on the 300 block of 19th Street, where they found Dolan in a bedroom, unresponsive but still breathing. She had a gunshot wound to her head, and a gun was in her hand. Paramedics transported her to a local hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries.
