On a cold December day in 1974, the quiet of a Sioux City, Iowa, neighborhood was shattered by a grim discovery. Inside a home at 1117 Morningside Avenue, the lives of three young people had been violently cut short. Among them was Freta Bostic, a 24-year-old Caucasian woman who was approximately four months pregnant.
