On the evening of September 10, 2015, the life of 32-year-old Bryan Ahmaad Edwards, an African American male, was cut short in a residence in the 1000 block of G Avenue NW in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Emergency responders found him with a gunshot wound and transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities investigating the shooting indicated that the incident did not appear to be a random act of violence, suggesting that Edwards may have been specifically targeted. ...
