On September 12, 2017, Devin Gauldin, 29, was shot and killed at the Hilltop Apartments located at 1646 West 45th Street in Northwest Jacksonville, Florida. The incident occurred as Gauldin was getting out of his car and heading towards a courtyard within the apartment complex. According to witness accounts, two masked men approached him and shot him multiple times before fleeing the scene.
