Police were searching for a suspect involved in a shooting that left a man dead on April 27th, 2014 near downtown Phoenix, authorities said Monday.

Juan Ortiz Canales, 27, was lying on the ground after being shot when police arrived to the scene near Pierce and 16th streets at about 5:30 p.m., according to the Phoenix Police Department.
