In the early morning hours of Sunday, March 27, 2016, the life of 20-year-old DeAntae Lee Fuller, a Black / African American male, was tragically cut short in Tucson, Arizona. Just before 5:00 a.m., officers from the Tucson Police Department were dispatched to the Broadmoor Apartments at 725 S. Tucson Blvd. There, in the complex's parking lot, they discovered Fuller lying on the ground with gunshot wounds.
Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene and promptly began an investigation into the shooting. Authorities interviewed witnesses who were with Fuller at the time of the incident, piecing together the events that led to his untimely death. The youngest of six siblings, with two brothers and three sisters, his death was a devastating blow to his family and the wider community.
Following his death, funeral services were held at the Rising Star Baptist Church, with arrangements handled by Funeraria del Angel South Lawn.
