On January 1, 2014, in Tolleson, Arizona, six-year-old Angelica Gallardo-Garcia was found deceased alongside her eight-year-old sister, Alejandra, and their father, Alejandro Gallardo, in what authorities determined to be a murder-suicide. Alejandro Gallardo, 45, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and his two daughters were also fatally shot. The tragic discovery was made by a young female family member who immediately contacted the police.
