On January 1, 2014, in Tolleson, Arizona, 9-year-old Alejandra Gallardo Garcia was tragically found deceased alongside her 6-year-old sister, Angelica, and their father, Alejandro Gallardo, in what authorities determined to be a murder-suicide. Alejandro Gallardo, 45, appeared to have taken his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot wound after fatally shooting his two daughters. The incident was discovered around 10 a.m. by a young female family member who immediately contacted the police.
