On October 16, 2016, a tragic incident occurred in Tolleson, Arizona, resulting in the deaths of 5-year-old Audrey Arismendez and her 4-year-old sister, Ariah Arismendez. The girls' father, 36-year-old Jerad Joseph Arismendez, was identified as the perpetrator who took the lives of his daughters before committing suicide.
