In the late evening of Sunday, May 10, 2015, the life of Thomas Michael Murphy, a 53-year-old male U.S. Army veteran, came to a tragic end in Phoenix, Arizona. His death, which occurred in the parking lot of the VA Phoenix Regional Benefit Office, was a final act of desperation detailed in a suicide note he emailed to his siblings and a local news outlet just moments before he took his own life.
