In the spring of 2016, a domestic dispute in Phoenix, Arizona, escalated into a tragedy that claimed the life of 41-year-old Mercy Cordova. A White/Caucasian woman, Cordova was fatally shot by her boyfriend, 43-year-old Francis Clark, on May 14, 2016. The violent encounter unfolded at Clark's apartment, situated near 37th Avenue and McDowell Road.
