On September 3, 2018, the Yuma County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a deceased individual at a residence in the 2700 block of West 5th Street in Yuma, Arizona. Upon arrival, deputies discovered three adult males—20-year-old Grady Baxter, 19-year-old Nicholas Grabbe, and 24-year-old Javier Sanchez—each with apparent gunshot wounds. The Criminal Investigation Bureau, with assistance from the Yuma Police Department Crime Scene Unit, collected evidence throughout the evening.
