On a spring evening in San Tan Valley, Arizona, the life of 18-year-old Tavion Jackson, a Black / African American male, was tragically cut short. On May 29, 2019, Tavion was fatally wounded by gunfire in a shooting that occurred in San Tan Regional Park. A former student of San Tan Foothills High School, he was remembered by friends and family as a positive and kind-hearted individual who always had a smile on his face.
