On May 29, 2019, 18-year-old Tavion Jackson was fatally shot in San Tan Mountain Regional Park, located in the San Tan Valley area of Arizona. The incident occurred on a Wednesday night near the intersection where Thompson Road turns into Brenner Pass Road.
