In the early hours of August 8, 2020, a domestic disturbance in a Chandler, Arizona, home escalated, leading to the death of 35-year-old Ben Beasley, a Black male from Phoenix. Chandler Police Department officers responded to reports of a fight between a man and a woman, followed by the sound of a gunshot, at a residence near East Saragosa Street and South Ithica Street at approximately 2:45 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Beasley in the driveway with a gunshot wound.
