On a tragic Monday afternoon, April 3, 2023, in Chandler, Arizona, 58-year-old Matthew Edward Miller was shot and killed while performing a routine task. Miller, a husband and father, was with his wife, checking their mail near Hunt Highway and Cooper Road, when the fatal encounter occurred. Remembered by his family as a goofy, happy-go-lucky man who loved sports and music, his final moments were an act of selfless heroism.
