On September 28, 2020, 18-year-old Jorge Portillo of Sierra Vista, Arizona, was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting. The incident occurred around 4:30 PM in the 900 block of Fry Boulevard near Pizza Hut Bistro. Portillo was driving a black pickup truck when a red Honda coupe, driven by 20-year-old Rick Martin, pulled alongside and the driver began shooting at the pickup truck.
