On September 1, 2021, Evanni Corona, a 31-year-old tow truck driver, was found with a gunshot wound in his tow truck in the area of 35th Avenue and Buckeye Road in Phoenix, Arizona. The incident was initially reported as a stabbing, but upon arrival, officers discovered Corona had been shot. He was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
