On July 20, 2022, at approximately 10 p.m., Tucson police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting and an unresponsive man outside a convenience store near South Park Avenue and Irvington Road. Upon arrival, officers found 25-year-old Francisco Javier Espriu with gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
