On September 13, 2022, a fatal shooting occurred in a parking lot near 59th Avenue and McDowell Road in west Phoenix, Arizona. The victim, 30-year-old Jesus Gonzalez Berrelleza, was found by officers responding to a shooting call around 6:30 p.m. He had suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
