On October 27, 2022, Gail M. Stanfield, 50, and her husband, Chase J. Stanfield, 39, were found dead in their home in the Whispering Pines subdivision north of Payson, Arizona. The Gila County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call just before 11 a.m. that morning, leading to the discovery of the couple's bodies inside their house. Both victims had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
