In a tragic turn of events that began with a roadside dispute, a man lost his life in Chandler, Arizona. Carlos Doiron, a male, was shot and killed following a road-rage incident on December 5, 2022. The altercation took a fatal turn when the other individual involved in the dispute reportedly followed Doiron.
Shortly after the initial confrontation, Doiron had gone to a family member's home to drop off gifts.
It was after this visit that the suspect from the road-rage incident reappeared. The suspect then fired several shots into Doiron's vehicle, inflicting a fatal gunshot wound. Emergency services were called to the scene near Hamilton Street and Chandler Boulevard at approximately 4:20 p.m. Doiron was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into the shooting led Chandler police to identify a suspect and a vehicle of interest, a white Chevy Cobalt with a distinctive rear spoiler. Two days after the shooting, on December 7, officers located the vehicle near Arizona Avenue and Chandler Boulevard. The driver, identified as 37-year-old Domingo Luz, was detained and subsequently arrested. Luz was booked into jail on multiple charges, including first-degree murder, possession of a weapon by a prohibited possessor, and discharging a firearm within city limits.
