On January 22, 2023, 15-year-old Brendan Blaze Valenzuela was fatally shot in Buckeye, Arizona. The incident occurred near Crown King Road and 257th Drive, just after 3 a.m., where Valenzuela was found with a gunshot wound. He was part of a group of people near St Charles Court and 255th Drive when an altercation broke out, leading to the shooting.
