In the quiet town of Buckeye, Arizona, a dispute between neighbors escalated to a tragic end on the evening of Friday, December 3, 2021. The life of 27-year-old Alfonso Gastelum was cut short in an act of violence that shattered the peace of the community.
That night, Buckeye police officers were being briefed outside their headquarters when the sound of multiple gunshots pierced the air.
They immediately began a search of a nearby neighborhood and discovered the body of Alfonso Gastelum. Investigators learned from Gastelum's family that they had been having ongoing issues with their neighbor, 28-year-old Alan Gonzalez.
