In the early morning hours of April 8, 2023, tragedy struck in Avondale, Arizona, forever altering the lives of a local family. Carlos Arenas, an 18-year-old Hispanic male, was leaving a house party in the vicinity of 114th Avenue and West Almeria Road. At approximately 1:32 a.m., the sounds of gunfire shattered the night, and Carlos was fatally shot. The promising young life of a man described as sweet and well-mannered was abruptly cut short.
