Daniel C. Gordon, III, a 54-year-old male, passed away in Phoenix, Arizona on May 13, 2023. His death occurred as he was the subject of a criminal investigation.

In mid-April 2023, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office had initiated an investigation into allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior between Gordon, an employee of Correctional Health Services-Mental Health for Maricopa County, and at least one inmate.
