In the spring of 2023, a gathering at a Phoenix residence turned tragic, ending the life of 26-year-old Felix Espino-Garcia. On the evening of May 25th, what was reportedly a party in the front yard of a home near 48th Avenue and Almeria Road was interrupted by gunfire. The shots originated from a dark-colored, four-door sedan that was passing by the residence.
The sudden burst of violence left chaos in its wake.
When Phoenix police officers arrived at the scene around 9:00 p.m., they discovered that three individuals had been struck by the bullets. Espino-Garcia was one of the victims, having sustained serious injuries. He was quickly transported to a local hospital for medical attention.
Despite the efforts of medical professionals, Felix Espino-Garcia succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. Two women who were also shot during the incident were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. As of the immediate aftermath of the event, the individuals in the sedan who were responsible for the shooting remained unidentified, and no arrests had been announced by the authorities. Investigators have been seeking information from the public to help solve the case.
