A high school sophomore and varsity cheerleader, known for her bright smile and kind heart, Gia was asleep in her bed when a drive-by shooting targeted her family's home. Multiple bullets pierced the house, and at least one fatally struck the young girl.
Her family discovered her unresponsive later that morning, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into Gia's death revealed a chilling plot allegedly organized through social media. Authorities determined that the house itself was the intended target of the shooting, possibly stemming from a dispute involving one of Gia's cousins.
