In the late hours of a Friday in Phoenix, Arizona, the life of 31-year-old Monica H. Ornelas was tragically cut short. On September 29, 2023, Monica, a mother of four, was killed in an act of gun violence. The incident in which she died also resulted in the death of another individual and left a third person injured, turning a regular evening into a scene of loss and sorrow.
