On the night of October 29, 2023, in Phoenix, Arizona, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace in the neighborhood near 15th Avenue and Maricopa Street. When Phoenix police officers arrived at the scene around 10:00 p.m., they discovered 38-year-old Isaiah Petite, a Black / African American man, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
