In the quiet community of Sierra Vista, Arizona, the life of 13-year-old Khalil Jacob Gerard Robinson was tragically cut short. On the evening of Thursday, April 4, 2024, police received multiple calls about shots being fired in the 200 block of Andrea Drive. As officers were responding to the scene, further reports indicated that someone had been shot and was in need of medical attention.
Upon their arrival, authorities learned that a victim with a gunshot wound had been taken to Canyon
Vista Medical Center. The investigation revealed that Khalil, a male, had been in a parked vehicle with two other juveniles. It is believed they may have been in the process of making TikTok videos when a gun was discharged, striking the young teen.
Family members rushed Khalil to the local medical center. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was subsequently airlifted to a hospital in Tucson for more advanced treatment. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Khalil Jacob Gerard Robinson succumbed to the gunshot wound at 6:07 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024.
The Sierra Vista Police Department's investigation into the fatal shooting is ongoing. Authorities have indicated that one of the three juveniles in the car was responsible for the shooting, but it has not been determined who fired the weapon or if the act was accidental.
