On November 4, 2014, in Omaha, Nebraska, 27-year-old Stephen Arps and his 23-year-old girlfriend, Johnnesha Brown, were shot near 45th Street and Grand Avenue. Brown succumbed to her injuries shortly after the incident, while Arps remained in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

Despite medical efforts, Arps passed away four days later. The Omaha Police Department launched an investigation into the double homicide, urging anyone with information to come forward.
