In the early morning hours of March 27, 2021, in Omaha, Nebraska, the life of 27-year-old Loklok W. Thok, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire near the intersection of 24th and Emmet streets. Another man, 24-year-old Duop Tang Deng, was also killed in the shooting. When Omaha police officers responded to a call about the shooting at 2:56 a.m., they found a grim scene.
