Elston G. McCarthur, a 58-year-old resident of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away on March 6, 2015. Born on March 29, 1956, McCarthur's life came to a tragic end due to gun violence in his hometown.

McCarthur was preceded in death by his father, Ellis McCarthur, and his sister, Francyne Hurry. He is survived by a loving family, including his daughter Tamaran Bass and son Gene Black.
