On November 10, 2018, 58-year-old Stacy A. McArtor of Valley, Nebraska, tragically died in a hunting accident. He and his 37-year-old son, Joshua McArtor, were deer hunting near Valley, west of Omaha. As Stacy descended from a tree stand, he handed his rifle to Joshua. The firearm discharged during the exchange, fatally wounding Stacy. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
