On a crisp autumn day in Nebraska, the life of a bright and cheerful 9-year-old boy, Gunnar Joseph Holte, was tragically cut short. On October 25, 2020, the White male was on a father-son hunting trip near Branched Oak Lake in Raymond, Nebraska, when a devastating accident occurred. While reloading his shotgun during a pheasant hunt, the firearm discharged, fatally wounding the boy. His father, Matthew Holte, heard the shot and turned to find his son on the ground.
