On May 19, 2014, Delaware State Police responded to a report of two individuals lying motionless in the parking lot behind the Bayview Estates community clubhouse in Selbyville, Delaware. When officers arrived, they discovered the lifeless bodies of a 63‑year‑old white male, Edward Watkins Sr., and his 53‑year‑old white female spouse, Robin Watkins. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. The tableau was chilling and irrevocable.
