On May 19, 2014, Delaware State Police responded to reports of two individuals lying on the ground in the parking lot behind the Bayview Estates clubhouse on Sea Gull Road in Selbyville. Upon arrival, officers discovered the bodies of 63-year-old Edward Watkins Sr. and his 53-year-old wife, Robin Watkins. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
