In the early hours of May 13, 2018, a tragic incident unfolded on Mitscher Road in Dover, Delaware, claiming the life of 20-year-old Jameir Vann-Robinson. Vann-Robinson, a resident of Smyrna, had attended a house party and was leaving with a friend when they encountered two men, Eugene Riley and Ahmir Bailey, near their parked car. A verbal altercation ensued, escalating quickly as Riley and Bailey brandished firearms and fired multiple shots.
