On a tragic day in June of 2011, the small town of Dexter, Maine, was shaken by the violent deaths of a beloved schoolteacher and her two children. Amy Bagley Lake, a 38-year-old Caucasian woman, was killed in her home on June 13, 2011. Also found deceased were her children, 13-year-old Coty and 12-year-old Monica. The investigation by the Maine State Police quickly revealed a grim and heartbreaking scenario: a murder-suicide perpetrated by Amy's estranged husband, 37-year-old Steven Lake.
