On December 3, 1999, in Dexter, Maine, 20-year-old Mindy Elizabeth Angel Gould and 21-month-old Treven Cunningham were found shot to death in a residence where Gould was babysitting the toddler. The perpetrator used a pillow to muffle the gunshots, and the victims were discovered lying on a bed. Gould had recently obtained a protection from abuse order against her former boyfriend, Jeffrey Cookson.
