On March 11, 2012, in Lamoine, Maine, a shooting incident resulted in the death of 32-year-old Lawrence "Randy" Sinclair Jr. and injuries to three other individuals. The altercation occurred around 4:30 a.m. outside the residence of Michael Carter, 30, who was among the injured. The other wounded individuals were Torrey Garland, 34, and Joshua McKinney, 35, both from Ellsworth. Sinclair succumbed to his injuries at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor later that day.
