On November 16, 2015, 22-year-old Chelsea Jones was fatally shot in the head while seated in the passenger seat of an SUV in the parking lot of Shaw's Supermarket in Bath, Maine. Her fiancé, 23-year-old Dylan Grubbs, was outside the vehicle showing a 9mm Taurus handgun to a prospective buyer when the firearm discharged, striking Jones. She was transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where she succumbed to her injuries on November 18.
