On July 28, 2016, a violent home invasion occurred at a residence on Main Street in Rangeley, Maine, resulting in the death of 29-year-old Michael Bokun from Manhattan, New York. The incident took place around 1:30 a.m. Bokun died from a gunshot wound to the chest, as confirmed by the Maine State Police and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
