On December 25, 2023, Fort Worth police responded to a welfare check at a residence in the 2600 block of Berryhill Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered two individuals deceased from apparent gunshot wounds: 55-year-old Michael Sandoval Sr. and a 44-year-old woman. Evidence collected at the scene led investigators to determine that the incident was a domestic murder-suicide, with the woman identified as the suspect.
