Demonta Tanksley, a 36-year-old African American male from Fort Worth, Texas, tragically passed away on January 30, 2018. The circumstances surrounding his death were the result of a violent altercation. Tanksley was shot 13 times by Ronald Berry, a 48-year-old local drug dealer, after a dispute escalated at Berry's home. Tanksley had gone to Berry's residence to discuss a rumor about a theft, but the situation quickly turned deadly.
