On October 16, 2016, 31-year-old Douglas "D.J." Albert Morin Jr. of Oakfield, Maine, was found deceased in his vehicle on PD Road in Sherman. The discovery prompted an investigation by the Maine State Police, who soon classified his death as a homicide.
