On February 9, 2022, 53-year-old Paula Johnson was found deceased in her home on Leighton Point Road in Pembroke, Maine. Responding to a report of an unresponsive person, deputies from the Washington County Sheriff's Office discovered Johnson's body on a couch, with blood evident near her head. An autopsy later confirmed that she had died from a close-contact gunshot wound to the head.
