The events of that day unfolded into a grim murder-suicide, leaving the small town bordering Yellowstone National Park in shock. Authorities from the Park County Sheriff's Office and rangers from Yellowstone National Park were dispatched to a Gardiner home after receiving a distressing call from a woman reporting that a man was shooting at her and attempting to force his way into the residence.
