Thomas Lawrence Veloz, a 38-year-old Libby resident, was shot and killed on February 1, 2015, at a residence on Washington Avenue. The homeowner, 74-year-old Henry Carl Schroeder, was arrested and initially charged with negligent homicide, which was later upgraded to deliberate homicide.
