On December 26, 2014, Michael Leonard Roloff, a 31-year-old Kalispell resident, tragically lost his life in Libby, Montana. The incident unfolded when his mother-in-law, Lois Kay Olbekson, allegedly shot him in the chest with a .22-caliber handgun following a heated argument. Law enforcement responded to the 911 call and arrived at the scene on Glendora Avenue to find Roloff unresponsive. Despite resuscitation efforts, he was pronounced dead at Cabinet Peaks Medical Center.
