On June 11, 2015, in Wilder, Idaho, 39-year-old Amparo Godinez Sanchez was fatally shot multiple times inside her home on Red Top Road. The tragic incident occurred in the presence of two of her children. Authorities identified her boyfriend, 51-year-old Erasmo Alcala Diaz, as the suspect. Following the shooting, Diaz fled the scene, leading to a six-year manhunt. His vehicle was later found abandoned in Adrian, Oregon.
